MICROBIAL BIODIVERSITY OF ANCIENT EGYPTIAN WOODEN ARTEFACTS:
INTEGRATIVE ARCHAEOMETRIC AND GREEN TREATMENT APPROACHES

This study explores microbial diversity on ancient wooden artifacts in museums in Egypt and France, including the Egyptian Museum, the Louvre, and Musée Rodin. Fungal growth is a major threat, and the research compares environmental factors that impact this growth. Techniques like active bio-impactors, cultural media, PCR, and DNA extraction were used to identify fungal strains. The study proposes improved storage, climate control, and eco-friendly conservation methods to protect these artifacts.
